Oregon’s
Magical Valley

It was a privilege to be invited by an Oregon Winery to design their Pinot Noir new label.
The intent was to create an illustration that depicted the variety and splendor of Oregon’s valleys, hills, and the imposing majesty of its mountains, with an idyllic touch.
My goal was to design not only an image that represented Oregon’s natural beauty but also some of its iconic elements such as Mount Hood, the beautiful red-tailed hawk, the oak trees, the extent vineyards, and the colorful lavender fields.

Technique: digital painting
Software: Procreate and Adobe Photoshop

Oregon is beautiful

Made up of seven diverse regions, Oregon has the ocean, mountains, valleys, high desert, cities, small towns, and almost everything in between.

Fertile volcanic soils, glacial water, and a temperate climate have made the valley one of the most prolific fruit-growing regions in the world. Pear, cherry, and apple trees — and, increasingly, vineyards — checkerboard the valley, along with berry farms, alpaca ranches, and hilltop fields of lavender.

Blooming fruit trees blanket the valley in drifts of pink and white in spring. Farm stands and tasting rooms entice you with the region’s bounty of wine and hard cider. No matter what the season, the magnificent valley — bookended by postcard views of Mt. Hood and Washington’s Mt. Adams — provides a stunning backdrop.

Unfortunately, the project ended up not being published, but still, I love the result.
Looking forward to my next wine project!
