Itsukushima Shrine “floating” Gate

 

This “floating” Torii Gate, built in the 12th century, it’s one of Japan’s most popular tourist attractions.
The great Torii is the boundary between the spirit and the human worlds and its vermilion color is considered to keep evil spirits away.
